    Tanzania Telecommunication Corporation recently announced that it will spend 40 billion shillings (about 110 million yuan) to deploy a fiber-to-the-home network
    covering the whole country.

    Tanzania Telecommunications is the largest communications service provider
    in the country.
    Waziri Kindamba, general manager of the company, said that the national fiber-to-the-home project is the core project
    to improve the construction of domestic communication infrastructure.
    Pilot projects
    are already underway in parts of the capital, Dam Salaam.

    It is expected that three months after the pilot project begins, the first phase of this fiber-to-the-home program will be deployed
    in major cities across the country.

    According to reports, users who are fiber-to-home will be able to achieve bandwidth connection speeds of up to 50Mbps
