Tajikistan Satellite News Agency reported in Dushanbe on July 18 that according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technology of Tajikistan, two fertilizer plants will be built and put into operation in Tajikistan in the near future to fill the gap in Tajikistan's fertilizer producti.
One of them is Asia Chemicals, formerly the Tajikistan joint venture Az.
The plant will be put into operation this autumn, with a planned annual output of 180,000 tons of nitrogen fertilizer, urea and potassium nitrate; the other is a fertilizer plant construction project for Tajik Aluminum Company, which will be put into operation before September this year, and plans to produce superphosphate, ammonium phosphate, e.

According to the official data of Tajikistan, in the future, the grain planting area of Tajikistan will be about 700,000 hectar.
In order to ensure its grain output, about 750,000 tons of fertilizer will be need.

At present, Tajikistan does not yet have the conditions for potash fertilizer production, and mainly relies on the import of potash fertilizers from Russia and Belar.
