On August 22, 2022, Switzerland published test results
for allergens, gluten, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and protein content in foods labeled high in protein.
A total of 25 samples were collected, namely veggie burgers, yogurt, energy bars, ice cream and pasta, of which 6 samples were labeled gluten-free and 8 samples were certified organic, with sample origins including Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Italy, the Czech Republic and Canada
.
After testing, no unlabeled allergens and unlabeled cases of gluten content were found, no plant-derived genetically modified ingredients were detected, and the protein content ranged from 5g/100g to 43g/100g, and no deviation
was found.
The other two products have label defects, such as misrepresentation of nutritional value statements and illegible labels
