Recently, India's renewable energy company Suzlon Group announced that it will develop solar projects
with a total power generation capacity of 340 MW in three Indian states.
The three states are Telangana (210MW), Rajasthan (60MW DCR category) and Maharashtra (70MW).
It is understood that these PV projects are executed on a turnkey basis as part of joint ventures and special purpose vehicles (SPVs
) with partners.
Suzlon will provide operations and maintenance services
for 25 years.
Solar projects in Rajasthan were acquired through NTPC auctions, while Maharashtra was auctioned by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI
).
The CEO of Suzlon said, "We have already delivered the entire 340MW solar project
on a turnkey basis.
Our focus on solar will continue to be achieved
through wind-solar complementary projects.
Solar projects can also save costs
such as duplicate land and evacuation infrastructure.
We have an advantage
in this area due to our existing large land bank, technologically advanced products and nationwide operations and maintenance capabilities.
With the positive changes in India's renewable energy landscape, we believe there will be significant growth
in the production of various clean energy sources.
Suzlon is committed to reducing energy costs and providing clean and affordable energy
for all.
”
In addition to solar projects, Suzlran's wind energy projects have a cumulative installed capacity of more than 17 GW
