India-based EPC company Sterling & Wilson plans to build a 300MW solar power plant
in Vietnam by mid-2019.
The company said it was in discussions
with the country's leading developers about the $250 million project that would require an investment.
Sterling & Wilson plans to hire local workers to build and maintain solar projects
.
It is understood that during the construction period, nearly 600-700 employees will be created jobs and 20 years of maintenance services
will be provided.
The company has commissioned a 50 MW project in the Philippines and is about to launch a 60 MW project in Bangladesh, bringing its global portfolio close to 5 GW
.

per year in the country's largest annual electricity consuming sector.
