On November 11, British media reported that the Spanish tourist city of Marbella will build Europe's first "sunflower" solar house that rotates 360 degrees with the sun, which will rotate every 15 minutes as the sun's angle changes to maximize the use of solar energy
.
The creative idea
came up with two years ago, house designer Jose Carlos Moya.
Now the Moya team is ready for commercial production
.
Moya wasn't the first to come up with the idea; German architect Rolf Disch had built the first solar-powered house
to turn with the sun back in 1984.
But Moya said that the difference of the new sunny house is that it has the latest technology support and can automatically adjust the rotation angle according to the indoor temperature, while the house rotates very slowly and will not be noticed indoors
.
This new type of sunshine house is mostly used for vacation and leisure, and such a high-tech solar villa is expensive, a 250 square meter villa costs 540,000 pounds (about 5.
2 million yuan), and to ensure that the house is full of sunlight, floor-to-ceiling windows are essential, and its cost reaches 2,000 pounds
per square meter.
But villa designers say clean energy homes can save homeowners 70 percent in their daily expenses and can reduce carbon dioxide emissions
by up to 68 percent.
It is understood that due to the year-round sunshine, Marbella is favored by tourists from Nordic cold zone countries, especially the United Kingdom, so this kind of house that allows guests to bathe in the sun every day is naturally very popular
.
According to statistics, so far, Moya's team has received more than 10 orders for this "sunflower" solar house, which is scheduled to start construction
next year.
