Foreign media news on September 1st: Moscow agricultural consulting agency SovEcon released a report on Tuesday, lowering the forecast value of Russian wheat production in 2021 to 75.
4 million tons, lower than the previous forecast of 76.
2 million tons, because the spring wheat yield was lower than expected
    .

According to the report, the Ural and Volga regions were severely affected because the summer weather was very hot and dry
    .
The company added that the output in the Ural region may be the lowest since 2012, and the output in the Volga region may be the lowest since 2014
    .
In the past three months, rainfall in these two areas was only 50 to 80% of normal levels, and temperatures were 3 to 5 degrees Celsius higher than normal
    .

Last week SovEcon predicted that Russia’s wheat exports in 2021/22 will fall to the lowest level in five years, due to the reduction in wheat production and the slower pace of exports, and fierce competition from other supplier countries such as Ukraine
    .
The head of the company Andrei Sizov said that three-quarters of the wheat harvest in Russia has been completed, and Siberia is the only uncertain factor at present
    .
The Siberian wheat harvest may be good, as the summer weather is good, offsetting the effects of the dry weather at the beginning of the year
