Recently, Solvay announced that it has reached an agreement with Hubei Sanning Chemical Co.
, Ltd.
to grant Hubei Sanning Chemical a hydrogen peroxide production technology license for supporting the caprolactam project with an annual output of 500,000 tons

The project is scheduled to start production by the end of 2023

Solvay is a world-renowned hydrogen peroxide producer and solutions provider, as well as a technical expert in hydrogen peroxide production processes, operating several large-scale hydrogen peroxide plants

In addition to providing process design packages, operational experience and related services to Hubei Sanning Chemical, the company will also provide proprietary chemicals to ensure stable and high production rates for its large-scale hydrogen peroxide plant

Hubei Sanning Chemical will build a large-scale hydrogen peroxide production line with a single-line annual output of 200,000 tons through this technology license.
The hydrogen peroxide produced is exclusively used for downstream caprolactam units.
This monomer is used to produce nylon 6 products, such as Yarns and filaments

Nylon 6 is a multi-purpose polymer suitable for industries such as automotive, electrical and electronic; after being extruded into fibers, it can also be used in clothing and household items in the textile industry, as well as fishing nets
