Soluna is seeking to build a 900MW wind farm in Morocco to power blockchain computing facilities
    .
The flagship wind farm is called Pods
    in a modular way.
Each Pod includes 12MW of power generation, associated storage systems, and 6MW of cryptocurrency mining or blockchain computing centers
    .

Based on current turbine technology, the entire site can accommodate approximately 75 Pods
    .
The entire infrastructure will be developed
in accordance with applicable Moroccan laws and regulations.

It is understood that the first phase of the wind farm project will include three Pods, or the equivalent of 36MW of energy production capacity, and 18MW of computing facilities
    .

However, the wind farm project has recently been controversial and has been criticized by activists for Western Sahara's independence, who argue that the Moroccan authorities do not have the right to issue permits
    for the projects.
