    Recently, the metallocene polypropylene catalyst independently developed by Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry successfully completed the first industrial application test in the Zhongyuan Petrochemical ring tube polypropylene process unit, producing homopolymerization and random copolymer metallocene polypropylene resin with excellent performance, and Sinopec became the first enterprise
    in China to successfully develop metallocene polypropylene technology.

    Metallocene polypropylene has the advantages of low soluble content, high transparency and high gloss, which is an important direction
    for the transformation and upgrading of polypropylene industry and high-end development.
    In 2012, Beihua Institute started the research and development of metallocene polypropylene catalyst, and after small-scale test, mold test and pilot scale-up preparation, solved technical problems such as catalyst structure design, preparation process, and catalytic activity optimization, and successfully developed metallocene polypropylene catalyst technology and produced catalyst products
    .
    In the comparative evaluation under the same polymerization conditions, the catalyst has higher activity than the imported catalyst, and the prepared polypropylene product has better particle morphology and no agglomeration
    .

    Since November this year, the catalyst has successively completed industrial tests in Yangzi Petrochemical's Hypol process polypropylene plant and Zhongyuan Petrochemical Ring Tube Process polypropylene plant, and obtained good verification results

    The industrial test in Zhongyuan Petrochemical is the first time in China to produce random copolymer metallocene polypropylene on a ring polypropylene plant, which has laid a solid foundation
    for the high-end development of Sinopec's polypropylene industry.
