Siemens Gamesa today announced that it has received a new order in Spain to supply wind turbines
for the Tenerife wind farm together with Iberdrola and local partners.
According to the agreement, Siemens Gamesa will install seven SG 2.
6-114 wind turbines
for the Chimiche II wind farm.
It is understood that the developer has registered the project within the
quota dedicated to wind power in the Canary Islands.
The wind blades for this project will be produced at the As Somozas plant in Galicia and the engine compartment at the Ágreda plant in Soria

The company will also operate and maintain the facility

Siemens Gamesa's business relationship with Iberdrola in Spain dates back to 2000

More than a decade ago, Siemens Gamesa supplied more than 4,400 wind turbines
to Iberdrola's wind farm.
