The inspection scope is mainly based on the air pollution transmission channel cities in the Chengdu Plain, including Chengdu and Deyang, Mianyang, Suining, Leshan, Meishan, Ya'an, and Ziyang, and according to actual needs, Zigong, Luzhou, Neijiang, Yibin, Guangyuan, Nanchong, and Guang'an are taken into consideration.

The Provincial Environmental Protection Department sorted out 7 key tasks for this strengthened supervision.

In addition, the remediation of coal-fired boilers, the treatment of volatile organic compounds, the construction and operation of key industry facilities, the management and control of key areas, the response to severely polluted weather, the implementation of gas-related rectification matters by the central and provincial environmental protection inspectors are also the focus of this inspection.
