Among a number of invention patents granted by the State Intellectual Property Office this year, patent technical achievements such as "structure and preparation method and application of steric hindrance adjustable weak alkali light stabilizer" and "a transparent polymer material and its preparation method and application" have aroused strong interest
in the industry.

Among them, the structure and preparation method and application patent technology of steric hindrance adjustable weak alkali light stabilizer were developed by the R&D team led by Dr.
Mao Lijuan, chairman of Ruikang, after 5 years of research and development, subverting the functional structure
of tetramethylpiperidinamine light stabilizer that has been used in the world for more than half a century.
This original innovation provides a new option
for the weather resistance of polymer materials.

According to Mao Lijuan, compared with the light stabilizers of large international companies, the test results show that Ruikang light stabilizers can provide longer heat aging protection for polymer materials in the heat aging of 150 °C oven, and the performance exceeds that of foreign products; In ultraviolet light (UVB) aging, Ruikang light stabilizer presents better anti-yellowing effect, and its performance is no less than that of foreign products

It is understood that Ruikang light stabilizer overcomes the defects of alkaline and easy hydrolysis of existing foreign products, and the new materials after addition have superior light stability, color fastness, degradability and other properties, and this function additive can be widely used in polycarbonate (PC), polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyester, polyamide (PA) and other polymer materials, and the large-scale mass listing of products has lowered the market price

The new transparent polymer material and its preparation method and application patent technology are another research achievement
of Ruikang Innovation.
According to Wang Hongjie, a technical engineer involved in this project, Ruikang designed and invented a more environmentally friendly polyester polymer material that maintains high transparency to replace toxic transparent materials containing bisphenol A; Isophthalic acid or dimethyl ester with few symmetry factors was preferentially selected as condensation monomer, and trans-1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol with good rigidity was used as the glycol condensation unit, so that the resulting polymer could be kept in a good rigid and amorphous state, thus presenting high transparency expected results

At the same time, a new organometallic catalyst was invented, and a colorless polymer transparent material
was formed in high-temperature condensation polymerization.

Zhao Chengshi, another technical leader of Ruikang, said that Ruikang's new polymer materials can adjust the transparency and hardness of the material at the application temperature through the degree of polymerization and cycloalkyldiol, so that it can be used in optical components, lighting fixtures, high-precision optical products, medical packaging and other fields, with broad application prospects
