Recently, China-based photovoltaic manufacturer Seraphim Solar will supply solar modules
for a 9MW photovoltaic power plant project developed by Kanowna Solar PL in New South Wales, Australia.
The plant is expected to use 27,500 325W Seraphim MX modules and integrated battery cascade Maxim optimizers
.
Construction
of the plant will begin in early 2019.
Seraphim has released this smart module, which can be increased by 1.
5 times per string thanks to its voltage limiting function
.
It also says the modules minimize DC system mismatch losses and long-term degradation rates
.
President Seraphim said, "We are delighted to be working
with Kanowna on this unprecedented smart solar project.
This is a very important milestone
for both companies and the Australian solar market as a whole.
”
Kanowna Solar, Managing Director, emphasized, "We are very excited to work with Seraphim on this groundbreaking project
.
Our engineering team spent months carefully studying the advantages of these optimizers.
The Maxim optimizer used by Seraphim is ideal for utility-scale solar due to its extremely high cost – efficient design plus sub-cascade optimization
within the module.
”
Recently, Seraphim announced that it will establish 500MW of solar cell manufacturing capacity
in South Africa.
The expansion plan also includes facilities
in the country for 200MW of semi-cut cell module modules.
