On December 17, 2021, Peking University Biomedical Frontier Innovation Center (BIOPIC), School of Life Sciences, Beijing Future Gene Diagnosis Advanced Innovation Center (ICG) Zhang Zemin's research team and Peking University Cancer Hospital Ji Jiafu and Bu Zhaode projects The group and Peking University Third Hospital published a research paper entitled Pan-Cancer Single Cell Landscape of Tumor-Infiltrating T Cells in the international journal Science

T cells are the most critical anti-tumor immune cells, and toxic T cells are the most important cell group that kills cancer cells

In order to better understand the overall picture of tumor-infiltrating T cells and reveal the commonalities and particularities between cancer species, the research has newly generated T cell data for more cancer species, including myeloma, lymphoma, kidney cancer, ovarian cancer, and uterus.

    The study identified a total of 17 CD8+ T cell groups and 24 CD4+ T cell groups

This study revealed the heterogeneity, differentiation pathways and transcriptional regulation of CD4+ and CD8+ T cell subsets

The study also explored the relationship between a variety of factors and the composition of tumor-infiltrating T cells

The study of pan-cancer T cells at the single-cell level has deepened people's understanding of tumor-infiltrating T cells in many aspects, and will further promote the development of new cancer immunotherapy methods

Zheng Liangtao, a doctoral graduate of Peking University's Institute of Frontier Interdisciplinary Studies, Qin Shishang, a doctoral student of the School of Life Sciences, and Si Wen, a postdoctoral fellow of the Institute of Frontier Interdisciplinary Studies, are the co-first authors of this paper.
