Recently, Samsung Electronics committed to using 100% renewable energy
in all its factories, office buildings and other operating facilities in the United States, Europe and China.
Starting this year in South Korea, Samsung will install about 42,000 square meters of solar panels
at the Suwon-based Samsung Digital City.
In addition, the company will add approximately 21,000 square meters of solar arrays and geothermal power generation facilities at its Pyeongtaek plant starting in 2019 and geothermal power generation facilities
at its Hwaseong plant in 2020.
Samsung Electronics now plans to increase the use of renewable energy at its plants worldwide to match the equivalent amount of energy
generated by an average of 3.
