Sadara recently announced the completion of construction of its ethylene oxide/propylene oxide (EO/PO) pipeline and distribution center project, which provides feedstock to tenants in the adjacent park PlasChem Park
.
The two parallel feedstock pipelines will distribute ethylene oxide and propylene oxide feedstocks to various commercial tenants at PlasChem Park, enabling them to produce a diverse range of specialty chemicals
.
The ethylene oxide pipeline is about 6.
8 kilometers long, while the propylene oxide pipeline is about 6.
2 kilometers long
.
Both pipelines end at the oxide distribution facility at PlasChem Park
.
Sadara's ethylene oxide and propylene oxide products have important applications in a number of key downstream industries in the Kingdom including oil and gas field chemicals, construction materials, detergents, home and personal care products, water treatment chemicals, Mining chemicals, coatings and paint applications, pharmaceutical commodities and animal feed, to name a few
.
