    Russia strengthens scrutiny of grain exporters applying to China

    On July 14, 2022, the Russian Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Bureau reported that in July 2022, the governments of the Chuvash Autonomous Republic of Russia and the Ulyanovsk Oblast will review and count companies that are willing to apply for exporting grain to Chin.
    Since 2022, seven grain companies in the Ulyanovsk region have submitted 12 applications for export to China to the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervisio.
    In order to promote the export of grain and its processed products to the Chinese market, the Russian Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Bureau conducted 12 entrusted audits according to China's requirements, and took relevant control measures to ensure the quality and safety of grain exported to China, such as when exporting grain produc.
    Previously, preliminary phytosanitary inspections were carried out on stored grains, final phytosanitary inspections were carried out on specific batches of grain products, and studies were conducted on the content of GMO.
