Russian telecommunications company Rostelecom and Kazakh telecom operator Transtelecom recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU)
on building a cross-border fibre channel connecting the two countries.

According to reports, this cross-border fiber channel will connect Ozinki (Russia) and Semiglavy Mar (Kazakhstan), with an initial bandwidth design of 200Gbps
.

The two sides said that the cross-border Fibre Channel is expected to improve the possibility of
mutual business services between the two companies.
