Russia recently announced the results of its sixth renewable energy tender, signing contracts for about 1GW of onshore wind, solar and small-scale hydropower projects that will be operational
between 2019 and 2023.

Although only a handful of renewable energy projects have been successfully commissioned in the past five auctions, further involvement by multinational Fortum makes the outlook for this round of projects more optimistic
