    On December 5, the Russian Federal Fisheries Agency (Rosrybolovstvo) issued Directive No.
    707, which determines fishing quotas for fisheries in the Far East for 2023, as follows:
     
    pollock (2022 quota in parentheses): 473,892 tonnes (409,700 tonnes) in the West Bering Seafood Zone, 289,600 tonnes (344,200 tonnes) in the Northern Subdivision of the Sea of Okhotsk, 294,125 tonnes (344,200 tonnes) in the Western Subdivision of Kamchatka, 227,728 tonnes (267,600 tonnes) in the Kamchatka to Kuril Islands Subdivision, 101,440 tonnes (122,700 tonnes) in the Eastern Sakhalin Subdivision, 60 in the Karajinsky Subdivision, 613 tons (60,700 tons), Petropavlovsk-Komandolsk sub-district 69,620 tons (74,800 tons), Primorsky Krai 26,682 tons (20,700 tons), South Kuril Islands divisions 123,630 tons (135,000 tons), North Kuril Islands divisions 86,935 tons (93,400 tons).

     
    Pacific cod: 79,300 tons (90,000 tons) in the West Bering Sea zone, 16,487 tons (19,100 tons) in the Karajinsky subdivision, 13,478 tons (13,400 tons)
    in the Petropavlovsk-Komandolsk subdivision.
     
    Pacific herring: Okhotsk North Sea Division 267,871 tonnes (310,000 tonnes), Karatinsky Subdivision 36,894 tonnes (39,500 tonnes), Western Kamchatka Subdivision 32,238 tonnes (43,000 tonnes).

     
    Crabs: 6,755 tons (11,883 tons)
    in the West Kamchatka subdivision.
