According to NEDRADV, by the end of 2021, Russia's A+B1+C1 grade oil and condensate reserves will increase by 628 million tons, and natural gas will increase by 1.
017 trillion cubic meters
.
In contrast, the increase in liquid hydrocarbons in 2020 was 614.
2 million tons, and the increase in natural gas was 1.
618 trillion cubic meters
.
The increase in reserves is mainly due to further exploration
of existing fields.
The Report on the Status and Utilization of Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation also pointed out that in recent years, mainly small hydrocarbon deposits have been discovered, so about 60% to 85% of the increase in reserves has been achieved through peripheral and deep exploration of
oil and gas fields.
In terms of production, oil and condensate production is expected to be 517 million tons by the end of 2021, and natural gas production will reach 740 billion cubic meters
.
