Recently, the US-based photovoltaic installation company RGS Energy (RGSE) has obtained the exclusive rights of Dow Chemical's third-generation (3.
0) solar photovoltaic panels under the "POWERHOUSE" brand, but using traditional crystalline silicon solar cells instead of the original CIGS (copper, indium, gallium, Selenide) thin-film substrates, including Chinese PV manufacturer Risen Energy as the main supplier
.
Risen Energy first entered the top ten module manufacturers of solar technology in 2017 and is said to provide all solar modules and harness connectors
for solar panel technology.
Risen Energy's chief sales and marketing officer said: "Built-in PV technology is the pathway to wider adoption of solar technology worldwide and further enhances clean energy options
for discerning consumers.
”
General Polymers Thermoplastic Materials is a multinational thermoplastic resin distributor serving custom injection molders in North America that supplies polypropylene plastic resins
for the bases of polymer solar panels.
Finally, Creative Liquid Coatings, a former supplier to Dow, supplies fully assembled molded polymer components, as well as all the solar modules, wiring harnesses and other parts
needed for finished solar panel products.
RGS Energy must undertake and pass UL certification
before it can begin offering new solar panel systems in the United States.
The company also hopes to develop future alternative roofing systems
using Dow's licensing technology.
