In December last year, the chlor-alkali plant newly built a brine device and put it into use.
The new inorganic membrane process of the first brine filtration device replaced the traditional clarifier brine filtration process, which has a good energy saving effect.
That month, the DC power consumption of the caustic soda plant dropped by 64 kWh/ton year-on-year.

"After the new equipment is put into use, can continuous power saving be achieved? On the one hand, the electrochemical workshop needs to produce high-quality salt water to supply the caustic soda workshop; on the other hand, improve the staff to improve the operation level and find the problem to eliminate the problem to achieve the goal of continuous power saving.
"Said Wu Guangjun, deputy director of the electrochemical workshop.

The electrochemical workshop strengthens the staff's operating skills training, and the technicians explain the problems that the new equipment does not understand according to the technological process.
If the technicians encounter intangible problems, they should communicate and connect with the manufacturer's technicians in a timely manner to ensure the standard operation of the employees.

On the premise that the electrochemical workshop can provide high-quality brine for the caustic soda plant, the stable operation of the caustic soda plant can ultimately save energy.
The caustic soda workshop requires every operating team and every shift to measure the voltage of the electrolytic cell, and send the measurement data to the workshop and the workshop to the factory to track the voltage of the electrolytic cell, analyze problems in time, find out the cause, and formulate countermeasures.

While continuing to strengthen their operations, they actively carried out energy-saving transformation of the electrolyzer.
Based on the energy-saving transformation of three electrolyzers completed last year, two electrolyzers are planned to be retrofitted this year.
On March 14th, A electrolyzer was completed and dismantled.
On March 15th, it was sent to the factory to start energy-saving upgrades.

Dai Qingjiang, deputy director of the caustic soda workshop of the chlor-alkali plant, introduced that in the first two months of this year, through close cooperation with the electrochemical workshop and optimized operation, the DC power consumption of the caustic soda plant has been reduced by 50 kWh/ton year-on-year, and the power saving effect is prominent.
