The new plant invested by Italian cable manufacturer Prysmian in Brazil is expected to start production
in the fourth quarter of this year.
According to reports, the new plant is located in San Andrea, São Paulo state, with a total investment of 42.

Prysmian Brazil's net income in 2017 reached R$1.
5 billion, down 7% year-on-year, mainly due to a 50%
drop in sales in Brazil's oil and gas sector.
However, in the telecommunications and energy industries, it rose 8% and 3%
respectively.
At the same time, Prysmian Brazil's exports, mainly to other countries in South America, accounted for 22%
of total sales.
