    ( 1 ) Compared with the non-toxic Microcystis whitney, the toxigenic Microcystis aeruginosa significantly inhibited the cumulative emergence rate and nesting ability of larvae, while the larval motility .


    ( 2 ) On the basis of the above research, the acute and chronic toxic effects of dissolved microcystin ( MCLR ) on benthic invertebrate chironomid larvae and their potential mechanism of action were further analyzed (Figure 2-4.


    These research results will help to understand the effects and mechanism of harmful cyanobacterial blooms and their toxins on larvae of the dominant benthic species in eutrophic lakes, and help to deepen the ecological significance of the dominant benthic speci.
