When probing a tool ball or spherical surface through the CNC CMM, using the function to obtain measurement points from nominal, collisions or bump steering may occ.
Once you select the CNC CMM plugin from the Probe Device dropdown, you can change the sphere top orientation:

Way A: From the measured properties of the ball
Double-click the object in the directory tree to display its property she.
In the Measurement tab, set the CNC probing method and click the Apply butt.
In the Get Points section:

Click Top Direction: Select a point at the desired position on the sphere to obtain the surface normal at that positi.

Set from current tool orientation: Use the current tool orientation to define the new top orientati.

From the Sequence environment setting: Use the probe direction used to probe the spheres in the sequence to define the new top orientati.

Click the menu button next to the top direction paramete.

Method B: Before CNC probing the feature
Right-click the Ball feature in the Catalog tree and click CNC Probe Measurements on the shortcut menu that appea.

Way C: From the attribute table of the sphere's nominal primitive element
Double-click a nominal primitive to open its property she.
From the Spheres tab, click the Pick Top Direction button and pick a point on the corresponding sphere to get the surface normal at that locati.
