    Poland proposes to award fixed-price contracts for difference (CfDs)
    for significant offshore wind projects up to 4.
    6 GW before starting the first offshore wind tender.

    Poland's Ministry of State Assets on Wednesday released a draft law to regulate offshore wind investment and identify support mechanisms
    for such projects.
    According to the draft law, Poland will allow important projects to apply for a 25-year CfD
    until October 2022.
    The cap on such rewards has been set at 4.
    6 GW

    If this process results in contracts of less than 4.
    1 GW, more than 500 MW of remaining capacity
    will be auctioned in 2023.

    Poland also plans to hold offshore wind tenders in 2025 and 2027, each of which will award up to 2.
    5 GW of capacity
    to bidders offering the lowest electricity prices.
    If 500 MW were not ordered in previous tenders, another tender
    round could be held in 2028.

    Stakeholders have 30 days to comment and comment
    on the draft offshore wind bill.
