On November 25, Polish Minister of Climate and Environment Moskva announced that from 2023, the price of domestic natural gas in Poland will remain at this year's level to ease the pressure
on ordinary people caused by high energy prices.
Moskowa said that according to the European Commission's request, Poland should resume the collection of "gas value-added tax" from next year, so an overall increase
in the price of domestic gas in Poland can be expected next year.
However, in order to alleviate the cost of living pressure brought by rising natural gas prices to ordinary households, the Polish government decided to freeze next year's natural gas VAT rate, still maintaining this year's "zero" level, which means that next year's Polish household gas prices will be the same as
this year.
In addition, according to the proposed draft law related to natural gas prices, about 300,000 low-income Polish households will be eligible for government gas subsidies, which are expected to take up 30 billion zlotys, or more than 47 billion yuan
.
