[China Epoxy Industry Online] July 27, 2004, according to overseas media reports, the price of raw material pure benzene continued to rise this week, and the spot price in July and August has now reached a high of 1145-1150 US dollars/ton (CIF ARA) .
Based on the current high spot prices, manufacturers do not rule out the possibility of further increasing the prices of benzene and phenol in August.

There is unconfirmed news that a manufacturer purchased a batch of spot raw materials for shipment in July at a price of about 1,000 Euros/ton (ED).

It is expected that demand will gradually fall in the next few weeks, as some downstream manufacturers are preparing to close their production departments and enter a summer shutdown period.
