Despite concerns about the impact of turbines on reindeer grazing in the area, Norway's Energy Ministry has said it will not stop construction of Fosen Vind's 288-megawatt Storheia wind farm

In a statement dated 10 December, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights asked the Norwegian government to stop building wind farms because it received complaints from Sami reindeer herders who were concerned about the negative impact
of wind farms on winter pastures.
However, the head of the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy said that there was no basis to stop work on the project, which had passed all legal checks

Storheia is one of six wind farms built by Fosen Vind, in which Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft AS holds a 52.
