Researcher Nie Jinfu, Institute of Health, Hefei Institute of Material Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences , Associate Researcher Hong Bo's Bioinformatics Research Team, Researcher Wang Hongzhi's team and Zhao Dahai's team from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University have made new progress in the field of early tumor screening and developed blood-based cfDNA Methylated lung nodule benign and malignant non-invasive diagnosis model
Early detection of lung cancer is the key to improving the survival time of lung cancer patients
The collaborative team used a new type of blood cell-free DNA (cfDNA) whole-genome methylation sequencing technology to discover the difference in methylation characteristics of cfDNA between lung cancer patients and healthy people, and established benign and malignant lung nodules through artificial intelligence.
This technology is currently in the stage of clinical transformation and is expected to become a useful tool for noninvasive diagnosis of benign and malignant lung nodules
