From SeafoodSource on November 4, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released the first five-year strategic plan for U.
S.
aquaculture, guiding the work
from 2023 to 2028.

The strategic plan was developed by NOAA's aquaculture project team and includes NOAA's Office of Aquaculture and Fisheries, the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, and the National Coastal Marine Science Center of the State Oceanic Administration
.

The plan aims to expand and support employment, strengthen domestic aquaculture development and build coastal and marine ecosystems, and its mission is to provide science, services, and policies that create the conditions for opportunity and growth in the

aquaculture industry.
