Manufacturers, including General Motors and Volkswagen, will launch a large number of electric sedans, minivans and SUV models in China this year to suit local preferences and smaller budgets
.

clean up urban smog.

through sales quotas and stricter fuel efficiency standards.
The Nissan Sylphy Zero Emission, based on Nissan, is produced
by Nissan and its Chinese partner Dongfeng Motor.
Receiving government subsidies, the cost of the Xuanyi's zero-emission vehicle is 166,000 yuan, which is more than
half the list price of the Chinese version of the Leaf sold under the Qichen brand, a joint venture between Nissan and Dongfeng.
Nissan said the Xuanyi can travel 338 kilometers.
