Laryngeal dystonia (LD) is an isolated task-specific focal dystonia that selectively impairs speech production

A total of 161 subjects were studied with fMRI

Our findings suggest that the left precuneus in LD patients is the site of central short-term BoNT action, whereas the prefrontal-cerebellar axis is involved in BoNT responses in patients with intermediate treatment durations of 6-12 years
