    Naturgy Energy breaks ground on a wind farm project in Spain

    Spanish company Naturgy Energy Group SA (formerly Gas Natural Fenosa) has reportedly announced that it has begun construction of a 49.
    5 MW wind farm project

    The total cost of these projects is estimated at around 45 million euros
    .
    Construction is expected to be completed
    in early July 2019.

    Barasoain and Tirapu facilities are being built
    in the autonomous community of Navarre.
    The former consists of 11 wind turbines with an estimated annual production of 113,000 MWh
    .
    The Tirapu plant, consisting of four turbines, should reach 42,000 MWh
    per year.

    When completed, these two wind farm projects will be able to generate enough wind power to meet the annual electricity needs
    of 62,000 households.
    In addition, 122,000 tons of pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions
    can be reduced every year.
