Ministry of Ecology and Environment announces HCFCs quota

Last week, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the issuance of quotas for the production and use of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) and carbon tetrachloride in 2022
.

According to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, in accordance with relevant regulations such as the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution, and the Regulations on the Management of Ozone Depleting Substances, 20 companies have submitted applications for production quotas for hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) in 2022 to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
43 Four enterprises submitted applications for quotas for the use of hydrochlorofluorocarbons, and eight enterprises submitted applications for quotas for the use of carbon tetrachloride

Among them, the production quota of hydrochlorofluorocarbons includes HCFC-141b, HCFC-142b, HCFC-22, HCFC-123, HCFC-124 and HCFC-133a and other 6 categories of products.

The quota for the use of hydrochlorofluorocarbons involves 3 industries, including 29,589 tons of HCFC-22 quotas for the room air conditioner industry; 6311 tons of hydrochlorofluorocarbons quota for the industrial and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning industry; and hydrogen chloride in the extruded polystyrene foam industry.

The quotas for carbon tetrachloride use include: one is 150 tons of carbon tetrachloride for reagent use, and the other is 180 tons of carbon tetrachloride for auxiliary use
