In 1992, Maoming Petrochemical's key project of the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" was approved for its 300,000-ton/year ethylene plant, which was also the sixth domestic ethylene plant with an annual output of 300,000 tons at that time

The Maoming Petrochemical Ethylene Project has a total of 23 sets of super-large equipment with a total weight of 1,940 tons, and the distance from the Maoming Shuidong Port, where the equipment arrives, to the construction site is 24 kilometers

While carrying out the hoisting of large-scale equipment, Shijian Company also set off an upsurge in the construction of ethylene boilers and cracking furnaces

After 34 months of hard work, on August 29, 1996, Maoming Petrochemical's 300,000-ton/year ethylene plant was successfully commissioned and produced qualified products.
