Recently, Luoyang Petrochemical Corporation has actively carried out research on the optimization of PTA equipment.
Through two measures including waste water reuse and intermittent circulation of refining units, the PTA equipment has reduced the production of 25 tons of solid waste per month-salvage material, while saving electricity.
170,000 kilowatt-hours, saving 10,000 tons of desalinated water, and a total efficiency increase of about 100,000 yuan, realizing a win-win situation for environmental protection and economic benefits

During the production process of the Luoyang Petrochemical PTA plant, some waste water containing terephthalic acid and p-carboxybenzoic acid will be produced, with a solid content of about 0.

The waste water is sent to the sewage treatment plant, and successively undergoes the steps of flocculation, acid precipitation, hose pump transportation, bagging and draining, etc.
The annual output of the PTA device is about 1,500 tons of water and material, which not only causes the loss of benefits, but also increases the downstream pressure on the disposal of solid waste crude terephthalic acid

By using the drained water from the vacuum separator tank as the spray water for the inclined pipe of the dryer, the exhaust gas scrubber waste water as the beating water for the pressure filter, and the demineralized water for the gas line spraying of the mother liquor cooling tank is disabled, the amount of demineralized water is reduced by 10t/h.
At the same time, starting from April, using the time difference buffered by the intermediate silo of the PTA device, the refining unit will be implemented 2 rounds of intermittent circulation every month, each for a period of 9 days

Among them, 2 days are full material circulation, during which the filter press that produces the largest amount of waste water is stopped, and no product is produced in the refining unit.
