    Recently, the 11th Shanghai Rehabilitation Medicine Science and Technology Award Conference and Standards Leading Rehabilitation High-quality Innovation Development Summit Academic Forum opened.

    The team of Professor Lu Mujun from the Department of Urology and Andrology of Renji Hospital, the team of Professor Li Chao from Tongji Hospital of Tongji University, and Professor Chen Shiyan from Donghua University's team of cooperation project "Clinical and basic research on the rehabilitation of bladder and urethral injury" won the Shanghai Rehabilitation Medicine Science and Technology Award II Prize

    The project mainly uses skin flaps and oral mucosal transplantation techniques for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of hypospadias and anterior urethral strictures, and improves and optimizes the surgical approaches and methods of male complicated posterior urethral strictures


    For more complex patients with urethral stricture both in the front and rear urethra, explore and take the lead in exploring individualized treatment strategies

    While innovating treatment methods, the concept of urethral stricture scoring is proposed in the diagnosis, a scientific and standardized scoring system is formulated, the difficulty of urethral stricture surgery and the postoperative effect are estimated, and personalized treatment strategies are designed for patients


    At present, it is still inevitable to use autologous tissue repair for large-area bladder defects and long urethral stenosis in clinical practice, and this repair method will cause new trauma to the body
    .


    Therefore, in the basic research of the project, the regeneration and rehabilitation of the bladder and urethra are completed through tissue engineering technologies such as stem cells and biomaterials
