Liquid Telecom, an African telecommunications service provider, announced that it has completed a 200-kilometer fiber-optic cable
connecting the South Sudanese capital Juba to the Ugandan border.
It is understood that the cable will also reach the Ugandan border via Nimule, South Sudan, and will then be connected to Liquid Telecom's 70,000-kilometer regional fiber network, including a submarine cable system
that landed on the Kenyan island of Mombasa.
Liquid Telecom said that this will be South Sudan's first international fiber optic cable system, and its completion will help the South Sudanese capital further improve the quality of Internet services, increase Internet speed, and thus improve public facilities
