On March 26, the research team of Li Huabing from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine-Shanghai Institute of Immunology published a paper entitled m 6 A mRNA modification maintains colonic epithelial cell homeostasis via NF-κB-mediated anti-apoptotic pathway in Science Advances .
In this study, the research team found that intestinal epithelial m 6 A knockout mice ( Mettl14 fl/fl Villin Cre ) had significantly down-regulated body weight, colon length and severe diarrhea during childhood

It is reported that Zhang Ting (out of the station) and Ding Chenbo, postdoctoral fellows of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine/Shanghai Institute of Immunology, and technician Chen Huifang are the co-first authors of the paper, researcher Li Huabing of Shanghai Institute of Immunology, Yale University Academician Richard Flavell of School of Medicine, Director Zhan Meixiao of Zhuhai People's Hospital Affiliated to Jinan University, and Ding Chenbo, postdoctoral fellow of Shanghai Institute of Immunology are the co-corresponding authors of the article
Li Huabing's research group has conducted in-depth and systematic research on how RNA modification regulates the function of immune cells and its role in intestinal inflammation and tumorigenesis and development.
