com Levima New Material Technology Co.
, Ltd.
announced on the evening of September 7 that it planned to change the remaining use of the funds raised from the original fundraising project "65 thousand tons/year special fine chemicals project", which will be used to invest in the new "10 10,000 tons/year lithium battery material-carbonate combined plant project"
.
The announcement stated that in the context of "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality", the rapid development of the new energy industry has led to a rapid increase in demand for related products
.
Combining the company’s existing industrial chain advantages, in order to better leverage cost advantages and synergies, and further improve profitability, it plans to use self-produced ethylene oxide, carbon dioxide, and methanol as raw materials, and adopt advanced technologies jointly developed by the company and its partners.
The newly-raised investment project is a carbonate combined plant, which includes a carbon dioxide refining unit, an ethylene carbonate unit, a dimethyl carbonate unit and an ethyl methyl carbonate unit, etc.
After the project is put into production, it can produce 50,000 tons of ethylene carbonate per year, 52,600 Tons of ethyl methyl carbonate, 7,200 tons of diethyl carbonate and 43,600 tons of ethylene glycol by-product
.
The total investment of the project is about 581 million yuan, and the projected construction period is 16 months
.
The project intends to use advanced technology jointly developed with partners and adopt a new type of catalyst system to avoid the deactivation and recycling problems faced by most of the catalysts currently used in the industry
Levima Advanced Materials stated that the rapid development of the new energy industry has driven the explosive growth of lithium battery demand and the simultaneous rapid growth of lithium battery electrolyte demand.
It is estimated that by 2025, the global lithium battery electrolyte solvent demand has an average annual compound growth rate of 40%.
