German specialty chemicals manufacturer Lanxess recently launched a series of new iron oxide red pigments to meet the needs of the coatings industry

The company pointed out that after an intensive testing phase of the Inorganic Pigment Business Unit (IPG), this new pigment series has been introduced to the market
.
Stephan Spiegelhauer, head of the IPG Paint and Coatings Technology Center of LANXESS, said: “The new generation of iron oxide pigments is the perfect complement to the top product series produced by LANXESS at the Krefeld-Uerdingen plant for more than 90 years
.

For the mid-color range, LANXESS’s new products include Bayferrox 520, Bayferrox 5272, Bayferrox 5 25 and Bayferrox 530.
In order to meet more demand for yellow-phase iron oxide red pigments, the company will launch new products including Bayferrox 510, Bayferrox TP5278 and Bayferrox TP5279, etc.
According to LANXESS, all new Bayferrox products are produced in Ningbo, China using the "Ningbo process"

The "Ningbo process" is said to be developed to meet environmental protection standards and make iron oxide The pigments cover the complete color spectrum in the red pigment range of medium and yellow hues
