KRAIBURG TPE: Babynator mat for infants and toddlers with TPE for "clean eating"

An Austrian-based start-up has developed a "learn to eat" set of products for infants and young children to make eating cleaner, using KRAIBURG TPE's Thermolast K TPE compound as the main component of the solution

Babynator's anti-slip system consists of a self-adhesive pad that is said to hold replaceable accessories like plates and bowls securely in place

It can be used as a set or alone and comes in many different colors

According to KRAIBURG TPE, the technology of using plastic sheets was originally developed for pets and was perfected when the "Yummynator" was created
.
In the next step, the product was further developed with all the rules and regulations required for use in infants and food contact materials, and Babynator was born
.

A key element of this project is the ability of the TPE compound to adhere to different surfaces
.
To ensure safe use in many different homes, the material needed to provide adhesion on as many types of table and high chair surfaces as possible
.
However, this can only be achieved if the material remains flat on the surface and does not form bubbles or edges
.
Therefore, Thermolast K TPE compounds were selected for their good processability and high dimensional stability
.
Another advantage of this material solution is that high-brightness colors and special-effect colors can be used
.

The bayonet mount integrated directly into the mat using multi-component injection moulding technology allows easy and secure attachment of plates and bowls of various PP materials, keeping the plates firmly in place at all times

Each individual part of this product is safe for food contact and meets all standards

BPA free, Regulation (EU) No.
10/2011, US FDA CFR 21 (raw material compliance), and EN71-3
.

In addition, this TPE compound has a non-stick surface
.
Therefore, it turns out to be more stain resistant than other materials
.
Also, due to its special composition, the material does not leave any oil and grease spots or any traces on different materials

Especially untreated wood surfaces are therefore perfectly protected
.
