On May 31, Hunan Jiudian Pharmaceutical stated that ornidazole tablets passed the consistency evaluation of the quality and efficacy of generic drugs.

Ornidazole is a third-generation nitroimidazole antibiotic used to treat a variety of diseases caused by anaerobic infections; diseases caused by trichomonas and Giardia lamblia infections in the urogenital tract of men and women; intestinal and liver ami Basidiosis, a disease caused by intestinal and liver amoeba infections; used to prevent and treat anaerobic infections after various operations.

Ornidazole was first developed by Hoffer.

At present, the main oral drugs against anaerobic bacteria mainly include metronidazole, tinidazole, and ornidazole.

As of the date of this announcement, Jiudian Pharmaceutical is one of the three domestic companies that have passed the consistency evaluation of ornidazole tablets.
