Good news came from the closing ceremony of the 2021 Virtual Meeting of the International College of Prosthodontists (ICP) on September 25.
Founded in 1984, ICP is the world’s largest and most influential academic organization of dental prosthetics (including more than 70 member states and 1,000 professional members).
Professor Xinquan Jiang was elected as China's first ICP director at the 16th ICP Biennial in Seoul, South Korea in 2015, and served as the vice chairman of ICP at the 18th ICP Biennial in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 2019, and worked with all Chinese colleagues to promote Global cooperation and development of prosthodontics
Professor Niu Lina of the Domestic Air Force Military Medical University, Professor Huang Cui of Wuhan University, Professor Zhou Yongsheng of Peking University, and Professor Yu Haiyang of Sichuan University have also shown the progress and achievements of Chinese prosthodontics to colleagues in the world
In the 8-minute video of the closing ceremony of the conference in China, Academician Qiu Weiliu, Academician Zhang Zhiyuan, Academician Wang Songling, President Yu Guangyan of the Chinese Association of Stomatology, and representatives of the Prosthodontics Professional Committee congratulated Shanghai, China on hosting ICP 2023 and spoke highly of it in China Position and role in the development history of Prosthodontics, and fully support this event
