Prysmian has signed an agreement with JG Summit Petrochemicals Group (JGSPG) in the Philippines to supply approximately 820 km of power cables (low and medium voltage), instrumentation control cables and communication cables for the latter's plant and petrochemical applications

JG Summit becomes Prysmian's new customer in the Philippine market
JGSPG includes JG Summit Petrochemical Corporation (JGSPC) and JG Summit Olefins Corporation (JGSOC).
The largest polyolefin producer in the Philippines and the first and only comprehensive polyethylene and polypropylene resin producer
in the country.
JGSOC operates the first and only naphtha cracking plant
in the Philippines.
Both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries
of JG Summit Holdings, Inc.
(JGSHI).
JGSHI is one of the largest and most diversified groups in the Philippines, with businesses in the food manufacturing, air freight, real estate and real estate development, petrochemicals, banking, publishing, power generation and telecommunications sectors
.
Prysmian Group will supply a complete set of power, instrumentation and control and communication cables
for the first phase of the OSBL (External Equipment Area) expansion project.
The cables will be produced
at Prysmian Group plants in Tianjin and Suzhou, China.
Product deliveries will begin
in the second quarter of 2018.
