According to a report released by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on December 28, 2021, the country's lubricant consumption in November fell by 11% to 110,599 kiloliters, down from 124,191 kiloliters in November 2020, but higher than in October 2021.
Lubricant production (including exports) in Japan in November 2021 fell 3% year-on-year to 145,128 kl, although this was up slightly from 145,046 kl in October
In November 2021, Japan imported 21,704 kiloliters of lubricants, down 21% from 27,587 kiloliters in the same period last year
