Xinhua News Agency, Geneva, March 12 (Reporter Liu Qu) This is the first single-dose COVID-19 vaccine authorized by the organization for emergency use.

The WHO stated that in order to expedite the launch of the new crown vaccine, the organization and a team of evaluators from various regions passed the "Jansen new crown vaccine" based on the results of the European Medicines Agency's review and data on safety and effectiveness.

The WHO said that although Janssen vaccine needs to be stored at minus 20 degrees Celsius, the vaccine can be stored at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius for 3 months and has a shelf life of up to two years.
